We are strong believers that technology should make life easier and more fun.In the scope of Business Intelligence, we believe technology should be easy to use for everyone involved in the business process, not just for the tech experts.

Infinis started with one man's vision that what we see in futuristic movies - data being literally "plucked" out of thin air and "thrown" elsewhere - is not that far from reality.

This vision evolved into the need to be able combine all available data in an organization, to create a space in which the data can be seen, where rules and calculations can be defined immediately, and data can be linked together to form new data or explore alternative paths.

Ultimately, our goal was to create a powerful and intuitive Business Intelligence tool that allowed for free style analysis of data without the need to pre-process the data before it can be used.

Challenges

80 % of the effort and cost of a B.I. project usually goes into assembling and maintaining a data warehouse. As a result too little time and money is invested into enabling the real-time tactical reporting and analytics business users actually need to win in today’s constantly changing business environment.
Creating reports and analyzing data is a complex and slow process reserved to experts and dependent on I.T. support. As a result new reports, dashboards and analyses needed to answer business questions in real time as they hit operational business users are not actually available quickly, or in many cases at all.
The cost of B.I. projects is excessive, especially when taking into account project start-up fees:
- implementing a data warehouse
- buying the front-end query tools
- paying for large business analyst teams
- covering the cost of initial and daily I.T. involvement, etc.
